About this market
The Chewelah Farmers Market is a non-profit and is run entirely by volunteers. The market is known for its vendor-friendly policies. Many of our vendors will tell you that this is their favorite market! And our monthly special event days have garnered a following all of their own. Where else can you race a zucchini down the creek or shoot cherries at a target with a slingshot? The Chewelah Farmers Market was selected by the Washington State Farmers' Market Association as the Best Small Farmers' Market in the state for 2010 and 2011. The mission is to make available high-quality, locally produced food and to promote self-sufficiency in the community food systems by providing a venue for local farmers, growers and producers to connect directly with consumers and to support educational opportunities. We invite you to come on down to the beautiful Chewelah City Park on Fridays, mid-May through mid-October, and enjoy all that the Chewelah Farmers Market has to offer.
