From the market
Uptown Farmers Market is celebrating its sixth spring season in 2025, having grown from 20 vendors in 2020 to over 60 in 2025. In 2025, the Market has launched a new initiative for children in Radish Roots Corner, providing $4 in tokens to spend on fruits and vegetables, inspiring a new generation to good health! Every week the Market hosts cooking demos, children\'s activities, musicians, food trucks, and a variety of seasonal activities. The market footprint shifts to the parking lot section in front of the mural and tightens up to form a cozy and vibrant gathering spot during the chillier months. With only two hours to shop, the Market stays busy with patrons excited to buy fresh produce during the Winter months and still access all of their favorite artisan vendors.

About this market

Uptown Farmers Market was launched in 2020 in center city Charlotte with a mission to engage our neighbors around locally grown fresh foods to support local farmers and food artisans, educate on nutrition, and eliminate food insecurity in the Charlotte community. As a producer-only market, it supports over 60 approved vendors selling fruits and vegetables, pasture-raised meats, baked goods and other artisan foods, eggs, honey, flowers and plants, and natural skincare. Each week the Market hosts musicians, a food truck, children's activities, and cooking demos. The Market is a USDA retailer and provides Double Bucks weekly for SNAP users, and Triple Bucks once per month. The Market runs a senior shuttle program and is a host market for the NC Senior Farmers Market voucher program. Open every Saturday, 8:00am - 12:30pm during the primary season of April-December, and 10:00am - 12:00pm during the winter season January-March. Free parking, pet friendly.
